Jones Rotary Dryers & Dryer / Coolers
Jones has been building Rotary dryers for the Mining Industry since 1958.
Rotary dryers have many advantages:
- Rotary drying is extremely efficient in its use of heat.
- The dryers require minimum maintenance and are ideal for continuous operation.
- More material is dried in rotary dryers than in any other type.
- Correctly designed, rotary dryers turn out a consistently uniform product over a wide range of operating conditions.
- They can process most solids, whether sticky, crystalline, heat sensitive orcorrosive or non-corrosive.

High Efficiency Multiple Cyclones for Dust Collection:
- Twin high efficiency cyclones for dryer exhaust dust collection.
- Multiple cells for improved collection efficiency.
- Two-stage separation reduces re-intrainment of collected dust.
- Compact design mounted on back end of rotary dryer.
- Rotary gate or double flap valve for dust extraction.

Cooler for Granular Minerals:
- Minerals discharged from rotary dryers are usually too hot for magnetic separation or bagging in plastic bags.
- This water-cooled cooler is designed to cool minerals from 80°/90°C at dryer outlet down to 30°/35°C depending requirements.
- Dried product can then be weighed and bagged directly after the dryer.
- Cooling water requirement typically - 1000 Litres per ton of dried product.
