CAPACITANCE LEVEL SENSOR DRAIN
CDE 2050 discharges only condensate and is protected from solid particles by an extended surface internal filter. The combination of robust, high capacity aluminium body with ingenious design and high quality internal components, guarantees precise, reliable operation at working pressures up to 20 bar and compressed air flow rates up to 75 m³/min.
CDE 2050 comprises an aluminium body containing a capacitance type level sensor connected to an electronic controller which constantly monitors the condensate level. It operates at two levels: when the level reaches the upper limit the condensate passes through the stainless steel filter and is discharged via the solenoid valve when the lower limit is reached, the solenoid valve closes.
If, for whatever reason, there are any problems during cycle and the condensate level remains at the upper limit, an alarm signal is triggered.
Other characteristics are:
- 3 LED's (L1) power on; (L2) draining; (L3) drain alarm
- A manual condensate drain test button.
- Remote drain alarm relay with potential free contact with two terminals and a connector.

FLOAT TYPE CONDENSATE DRAIN
The CDF 2050 automatic drain has been specifically designed to deal with the problem of discharging condensate from the system reliably and without wasting valuable compressed air.
OPERATION
When condensate collects in the bottom of the drain, the float lifts and operates the drain lever. Drainage ceases when the condensate level falls back to the minimum level. A manual drain valve is also incorporated. The construction of the auto drain prevents solid particles from being deposited on the valve seat which could otherwise become obstructed.
