AUTOMATIC CONDENSATE DISCHARGE FOR WORKING PRESSURES FROM 0 TO 40 BARS
CONSTRUCTION
The automatic floating drain SCM 40 has been designed in order to discharge the oil-mixed condensate from compressed air.
Designed to obtain high opening and closure forces, it makes possible the discharge of thick liquids, which deposit inside condensate separators. The construction design is such that it doesn't allow solid particles to deposit on the discharge orifice.
A manual drain valve is also fitted

ELECTRONIC TIMER DRAIN
This unit is designed for the safe and efficient drainage of fluids such as condensed moisture, oil, water, etc. It contains an electronic circuit which provides the timing function and the continual repetition of the control function. The control cycle of the solenoid valve is repeated indefinitely while the power supply to the unit is maintained. the unit comprises four main parts:
- a timer;
- a solenoid valve;
- a ball valve;
- a filter
TIMER
The timer includes:
- a led to indicate that solenoid valve is activated;
- a led to indicate that solenoid valve is deactivated
- a button for manual operation of the valve
- a trimmer to adjust the valve opening time
(range 1-20 seconds);
- a trimmer to adjust the interval time between openings
(range 1-40 minutes).
SOLENOID VALVE
The solenoid valve is constructed with brass body and other parts in stainless steel. The type of coil depends upon the power supply voltage.
BALL VALVE
The ball valve is entirely made from chrome plated brass. The connections are 1/2" Male and 3/8" Male-BSP
FILTER
Strainer mesh in 304 stainless steel. To clean or check the strainer it is sufficient to close the valve to isolate it and then unscrew the plug.
Maximum working pressure - 1600 kPa
Drain capacity - 198 1/h at 700 kPa |
